GLOBE - Global Learning Opportunities in Borderless Education.
Work and society are changing fast, driven by climate change and new technology. To keep up, vocational colleges must adapt, yet access to skilled teachers and up-to-date expertise is a growing challenge.
This project answers that challenge through international collaboration. By joining forces with partner institutions abroad, Fagskolen Viken will co-create study programs, share specialist knowledge, and open new opportunities for students and staff.
The result: stronger competence, greater relevance, and education that truly meets the needs of tomorrow’s labor market.
The aim of the project, which is well integrated in Fagskolen Viken's strategy for 2025-2028, is to develop and offer relevant international educational programs in collaboration with international institutions that share our goals.
Collaboration can take many forms, such as:
- joint online lectures where institutions teach in their specialist areas
- the establishment of joint study programs with student exchanges across countries
- the development of new study programs that reflect international perspectives and country-specific strengths.
This project will add a new dimension to the internationalization of higher vocational education and training, where academic collaboration and competence building will reinforce the positive effects of internationalization.
Expected outcomes include:
- increased competence for students and staff
- strengthening Fagskolen Viken's position
- a better adaptation to the needs of the labor market
This will strengthen both the quality of education and the school's ability to meet future skills needs.
